New features of mekiku2

Line continuation

In this page, using two terms for displaying style : 'Start new line every time' and 'Continue line until sending empty line'

example of 'Start new line every time' and 'Continue line until sending empty line'
  • In mekiku2, you can choose your style in input settings.
  • Style depends on sender
    • from mekiku : all treated as 'Start new line every time'
    • from other mekiku2 : depends on sender's input settings
    • from IPtalk : all treated as 'Continue line until sending empty line'
Figure describing above rules.
  • When switching styles, mekiku2 starts new line.
  • mekiku (not mekiku2) treats all messages from mekiku2 as 'Start new line every time'
  • You can set display settings for treating all messages as 'Start new line every time'

supports Linux

mekiku2 works on Debian or derivatives (Debian, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, etc.)

(macOS not planned now because no plan for distributing from App Store)

PFT (Pre-formatted text) pane

You can use 'find' function with Ctrl+F in PFT pane.

When sending a line (F1 key) or going down (arrow-down key) in lower half of the pane, the caret don't go down and text goes up instead.

Shortcut keys pane

You can use shortcuts in chat input.

You can use Ctrl+1,2,...,9 as F1,F2,...,F9
